Surplus Funds
Most people aren't aware after a foreclosure. Your property goes up for auction at the county. Once the bid covers the back taxes owed on the property. The profit from the over bid is owed to the previous owner. Which are called "surplus funds."
Excess Proceeds
Excess Proceeds are very similar to "surplus funds" but they are due from a failure to pay your mortgage. The judge gives final judgement on the property value. If the property final sale amount at the auction is higher then the final judgement. You are entitled to the profit "exceess proceeds."
State Funds
State funds are held with the state treasury. These funds could be old insurance claims, saftey deposit boxes etc. We specialize in recovering your funds with the state.
